CLEVELAND, Ohio – After barely surviving in the Windy City, the Cleveland Guardians will host the Chicago White Sox in a winner-take-all Game 5 at Progressive Field on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. Eastern. Tickets are still available for this game on major third-party sites.
The Guardians survived a wacky, back-and-forth affair in Game 4 before blowing the contest open with a six-run sixth inning. Cleveland defeated Chicago, 9-5.
Jose Ramirez had a two-run homer and three RBI, while Patrick Bailey and Jo Adell each had two RBI. Cleveland has scored 18 runs in the last two games to flip the series and push the White Sox to the brink.
The winner of Game 5 will face the AL East champion Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg on Monday, Oct. 12 with a first pitch slated for 8 p.m. Eastern. The Rays swept the Yankees, outscoring the Bronx Bombers in the ALDS, 10-5.
