Homicide detectives are investigating the death of an unidentified woman in Brooklyn Park.

According to a news release from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, officers responded to a report Friday morning of a dead body in the area of Disney Road and Alley 79 in Brooklyn Park.

Police said the woman, who has not yet been identified, was found on the ground with “apparent trauma to her body.”

Her body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
