Turpentine Creek Roars Into Tripadvisor’s Top 10%

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs has once again clawed its way into the global spotlight, earning a coveted Travelers’ Choice Award from Tripadvisor for the third year in a row. This honor places the Arkansas sanctuary among the top 10% of attractions and hotels worldwide.

The award, announced by Tripadvisor, is based entirely on the quality and consistency of reviews left by travelers over the past year — a genuine reflection of guest satisfaction.

“We’re honored by this recognition,” said Tanya Smith, president of TCWR. “It shows that our guests not only enjoy their time with us, but also deeply connect with our mission and the animals we care for.”

Tripadvisor President Kristen Dalton echoed that sentiment, adding, “Ranking among the top percentage of businesses globally means you have made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took time to go online and leave a glowing review about their experience.”

The refuge, known for rescuing and providing lifelong sanctuary to abused and neglected big cats and other exotic animals, has built a loyal following thanks to its educational tours that raise awareness about the exotic pet trade.

Guests can stay overnight in lodges that overlook animal habitats, take guided tours to meet the animals up close (from a safe distance), and support the refuge’s ongoing rescue efforts with every visit.

More than just a wildlife park, TCWR blends conservation, education and compassionate care into every guest interaction, making it a true Arkansas treasure for animal lovers and eco-tourists alike.
