How ironic that President Donald Trump, who will not recognize global warming, had his glorious celebration for the Fourth of July’s 250th year affected by record-setting-high temperatures. The years of planning by many agencies, especially the National Park Service, were modified, postponed or canceled by the extreme heat and resulting storms.

The President announced he would give a long speech to prove he could do it. A short speech with no lies, name-calling or swear words would have been more noteworthy. Most of the taxpayers who footed the bill did not get to see the record-setting fireworks show because it happened after all the TV coverage had ended.
