Arkansas’ rich duck hunting tradition and Delta hospitality will be featured on a national stage this fall as SEC Network’s Emmy Award-winning TrueSouth Presented by YellaWood returns for its ninth season.

The new season premieres Sept. 15 and will feature stories from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and Louisiana. The Arkansas-focused episode, titled “Arkansas Flyway,” will air Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m. ET.

TrueSouth explores the people, traditions and culture that define communities across the South. Each episode combines local history, food and music while highlighting the people who keep those traditions alive.

For its Arkansas stop, the series travels to Prairie County, home to the communities of Hazen and DeValls Bluff, an area widely recognized as one of the nation’s premier duck hunting destinations.

The episode features Greenbriar Lodge, a historic duck camp known for its commitment to habitat conservation and hospitality. Viewers will also meet Stanley and Becky Young, who own Murry’s Restaurant in Hazen, a longtime local favorite known for its fried catfish and bread pudding with whiskey sauce.

The program also visits Big K Catfish Barn, a seasonal restaurant that serves hundreds of customers each Saturday during its December-through-March season, and Craig’s Bar-B-Q in DeValls Bluff, where the restaurant’s tradition of sliced pork sandwiches dates back to its founding in 1947.

New episodes will air every other Tuesday on SEC Network and will also be available on demand through SEC Network+ and the ESPN App following their broadcast.
