Townebank debuts in Mount P.

The Mount Pleasant Dogwood State Bank location at 302 Wingo Way will undergo a rebrand, as it will soon be known as Townebank, starting in November. In the process, Townebank has assembled its new local leadership team.

TowneBank and Dogwood State Bank, a division of TowneBank, recently welcomed Scott Sharp as market executive to lead banking operations in Charleston. His industry experience and recognition enhance the bank’s ability to extend our culture of caring and exquisite member service to the individuals and businesses that call Charleston home.

Sharp brings over two decades of financial industry experience to TowneBank. He previously held regional executive leadership roles with various financial institutions, most recently serving as a regional vice president at TD Bank. Sharp is a graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland and received his graduate degree from Converse College. Active in the community, Sharp sits on the board of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, Operations Home, Charleston Education Partners and is a founding board member of the South Carolina Chapter of US Lacrosse.

“Scott’s demonstrated leadership and experience will be invaluable as TowneBank continues to grow across the Carolinas and expand into the Charleston market,” said David Lominack, president of TowneBank South Carolina. “Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a deep dedication to serving personal and business banking members, developing high-performing teams and supporting the communities in which he lives and works. Combined with the expertise of our newly formed private banking team, Scott’s leadership further enhances our ability to deliver personalized financial solutions and exceptional service to members across Charleston and beyond.”

Through its partnership with Dogwood, TowneBank offers a retail location and a full suite of commercial and private banking services in the Charleston area. The TowneBank private banking team is dedicated to meeting the comprehensive financial needs of professionals, business owners, medical and legal practices and their employees through customized banking, lending and treasury management solutions. The recent additions of private bankers Lindsey Foy and Eddie Carta bring over four decades of combined experience in the financial industry to TowneBank. Foy is a graduate of Wofford College, serves on the executive board of the Sullivan’s Island Elementary School PTA, and is an active volunteer with Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina. Carta is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and received his graduate degree from Quinnipiac University. He is a member of Wall Street Charleston and volunteers with Stars Uganda. They join John Millay, a Bellarmine University graduate with past community banking experience who has served as branch manager at the Wingo Way location in Mount Pleasant since it opened. The office and the financial professionals will come under the TowneBank name in November. Additionally, the introduction of TowneBank opens the door to provide the market with a full suite of financial services, including mortgage, insurance, employee benefits, wealth management, trust and 1031 exchanges.
