TLC, Salt-N-Pepa Bringing Nostalgic Hits to Arkansas Stage

Co-headlining the “IT’S ICONIC Tour,” TLC and Salt-N-Pepa will make a stop at the Walmart AMP in Rogers on Tuesday, Sept. 29. En Vogue will join the show as a special guest, with music starting at 7:30 p.m.

Multi-Grammy Award-winning girl group TLC rose to fame in the early ’90s, becoming a cultural force for women in R&B. They scored four No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Creep,” “Waterfalls,” “No Scrubs” and “Unpretty.” After the group’s rapper, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, tragically died in a car crash in 2002, the duo of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas continued. In 2022, TLC was inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame.

Often credited as the first all-female rap act to achieve mainstream success, Salt-N-Pepa became trailblazers in the hip-hop world in the mid-’80s. The group, which (at the time) was composed of Cheryl “Salt” James, Sandra “Pepa” Denton and DJ Spinderella, was the first female rap act to win a Grammy – Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “None of Your Business” in 1995. DJ Spinderella announced her departure from the group in 2019. Nonetheless, James and Denton continue playing shows for their fans, bringing out all the best hits, including “Push It,” “Shoop,” “Whatta Man (ft. En Vogue)” and more.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, with prices ranging from $70.30 to $157.55. Tickets will be available for purchase online at ticketmaster.com.
