LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Three Louisianians were arrested in Gage County on Wednesday after authorities say they stole from a farmhouse.
Just before 2 p.m., the Gage County Sheriff’s Office was called to Highway 77 near West Oak Road on a report of a suspicious vehicle.
When deputies arrived, they found three people.
One ran off, authorities said, but 49-year-old Arlen Wyrick and 52-year-old Alejandra Sotelo-Cline — both of Louisiana — while detained at the scene.
Items from the farmhouse were found in the suspects’ vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
A dog found in the suspects’ car was taken to the Beatrice Humane Society for care.
Later, a deputy saw a man matching the description of the person who fled the scene walking down Highway 77, about half a mile from the burglarized farmhouse.
The man was identified as 51-year-old Coby Angelle — also of Louisiana — and had a felony warrant out of Louisiana.
Angelle was taken to the Gage County Jail and booked on the warrant.
Wyrick was arrested on suspicion of burglary and trespassing, while Sotelo-Cline was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The burglary is still under investigation.
