Two young teens were seriously injured on an e-bike Monday evening in Ewa Beach, according to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.
EMS co-responded at about 6:25 p.m. to the scene at 106th Street near Heron Avenue with multiple crews.
Two boys, ages 13, and 14, were reportedly “packing,” or sharing the same e-bike when it apparently crashed. Neither were wearing a helmet.
The 13-year-old boy suffered a head injury, along with multiple lacerations and abrasions, according to EMS. The 14-year-old boy suffered multiple abrasions, or serious scrapes, including to the head.
Paramedics treated both boys and took them to an emergency room in serious condition.

Under Hawaii law, the minimum age to ride a low-speed e-bike is 15 years old, with helmets mandatory for riders under age 18.
