A teenager was killed in a crash in Sharon over the weekend that seriously injured two other people when the vehicle they were in left the road and struck a tree and a house.
The collision occurred on Route 41 in the area of Golf Drive shortly after 3 p.m. on Saturday, according to Connecticut State Police.
A 62-year-old Salisbury man was driving a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee north when he crossed over the southbound lane and left the road, striking a tree and a home, state police said. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as 17-year-old Shea Cassidy-Teti of Salisbury, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.
The driver and another passenger, a 64-year-old Salisbury man, suffered serious injuries, state police said.
The driver was taken aboard Life Star to Hartford Hospital, according to state police. The 64-year-old passenger was taken in an ambulance to Sharon Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately clear.
