TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Taunton police are investigating after a teenager was killed in a crash in Taunton late Friday night.
Just after 10 p.m., Taunton police were called to a single vehicle crash in the 100 block area of Tremont St.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found a Toyota Tacoma pick up truck that was fully engulfed in flames.
Investigators said initial reports showed the truck went off the road on Tremont St., struck the front porch of a home and rolled into cars that were parked in the driveway.
The driver of the truck, only identified as a teenage female from Dighton, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney`s Office also responded to this crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
