But Kennard-Dale kept chipping away after falling behind by four, and their star pitcher Taryn Ashenfelter would deliver the big blow at the plate, lacing a walk-off, two-run double to beat the Bulldogs 5-4.

Big Spring jumped out to a 4-0 lead thanks to an RBI by Zoey Zimmerman and then, in the fifth, a three-run homer by Izzy Fry.

But Kennard-Dale would respond with three in the bottom of the fifth to insert itself back in the game before the walk-off.

Ahsenfelter finished the game 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs, while pitching the complete game, allowing four runs and striking out nine.

Big Spring was paced by Fry’s homer, while Hannah Darhower also tallied two hits.
