DELMAR, Del. – Sussex Tech softball defeated Delmar 4-2 on Friday in the second round of the DIAA tournament.

The Ravens jumped ahead early, scoring three runs in the top of the first. The Wildcats answered quickly, with two runs of their own in the bottom of the inning.

The score stayed 3-2 in favor of Sussex Tech until the top of fourth when the Ravens added another run to make it 4-2.

Both defenses held firm from there, with Sussex Tech starter Cierra Lewis finishing the game without allowing any runs beyond the first inning.

Sussex Tech advances to the DIAA Quarterfinals, where they will play at Lake Forest at 4pm on Saturday, May 24.
