Stuttgart Public Library introduces 2025 Summer Reading Program: Color Our World!

The Stuttgart Public Library’s 2025 Summer Reading Program will run from May 30 through the end of June. This year’s theme is “Color Our World.”

Library Manager Estella Dudman said the entire month of June is full of family-friendly activities.

“Summer is just around the corner. I invite everyone to start their summer here with us at the Stuttgart Public Library. Bring your friends, your family, and your neighbors. Daycares are also invited,” Dudman said.

Free magic show

The Summer Reading Program will kick off next Friday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m. with a free magic show featuring magician Scott Davis.

Game Day – Mondays

Game Day will begin on Monday, June 2, at 10:30 a.m. Fun outdoor and indoor games will take place every Monday at 10:30 a.m.

Family Storytime & Crafts – Wednesdays

Family Storytime & Crafts will begin on Wednesday, June 4.

“We will sing songs, read a story, and enjoy a fun and easy craft,” Dudman said.

Movie Day – Fridays

Starting June 6, Movie Day will be held every Friday at 1 p.m., featuring a family-friendly movie.

“We will have plenty of free popcorn and drinks for everyone,” Dudman said.

Adult book club

Library staff invite area adults to participate in the Bookmarks Book Club. Dudman said summer is a great time to join the group.

“It is a little extra special during the summer reading program because anyone can drop in. You do not have to sign up or read the book. Come in and see if it is something you like,” Dudman said. “It is a time for the public to come in and see what a book club looks like.”

The book club meets at the library every Monday at noon.

Library information

The library is at 2002 S. Buerkle St. in Stuttgart.

“We have so many resources and services. If anyone has any questions about what we have to offer, I encourage you to call me. Come by and see me. My door is always open, and you are always welcome,” Dudman said.

The library’s summer programming is free for participants.

“It is open to all ages, and there is no need to register,” Dudman said.
