LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Nebraska state senator was cited Thursday for an incident during a party in Lincoln earlier this year.

In September, the Nebraska State Patrol received a report of an incident that happened during a party at the Lincoln County Club on May 29.

A woman reported that State Sen. Dan McKeon of Amherst inappropriately touched her, according to the patrol.

After an investigation, the patrol cited McKeon, 59, on suspicion of public indecency, a Class II misdemeanor.

Channel 8 reached out to McKeon for comment on the citation.

McKeon was elected to the Nebraska Legislature in 2024.
