St. Joseph Center Plans New Farm Store for Breckenridge Village

A new SJCA Farm Store is coming to Breckenridge Village in Little Rock, giving shoppers another destination for Arkansas-grown produce and locally made goods, St. Joseph Center of Arkansas recently revealed.

The announcement comes as the West Little Rock Farmers Market continues to draw large crowds each weekend, highlighting the increasing demand for locally sourced food and community-centered shopping experiences in central Arkansas.

The upcoming farm store will share a building with The Root Cafe at Breckenridge Village, a pairing that reflects the neighborhood’s growing focus on Arkansas producers, fresh ingredients and sustainable food practices.

The Root Cafe has long been known for emphasizing local sourcing and Arkansas-made products, and SJCA officials say the partnership felt like a natural fit. The organization noted that The Root keeps much of its operating budget within the state, aligning closely with SJCA’s mission of supporting local farmers and food producers.

The West Little Rock Farmers Market itself has become a collaborative community effort supported by several local partners and businesses, including Kelley Property Management, Keet Restaurant Group, Simmons Bank, Ben E. Keith and Good Earth Garden Center.

SJCA says the new farm store will offer many of the same products shoppers previously enjoyed, including fresh produce, value-added foods and Arkansas-made items sourced from local farmers and vendors.

Additional details about the store’s opening timeline, featured vendors and grand opening events are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, the West Little Rock Farmers Market continues every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at Breckenridge Village.

SJCA also continues hosting the Argenta Farmers Market every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Flyway Brewing.
