CLEVELAND, Ohio — St. Ignatius celebrated its first home varsity football game on campus since 2023 by overwhelming John Marshall 60-0 at Wasmer Field Friday night, marking the 50th meeting between the two Cleveland schools separated by 6 miles of Lorain Ave.
The Wildcats erupted for 37 points in the first quarter and never looked back, improving to 41-8-1 in the all-time series against the Lawyers. Junior JT Hummer started the scoring with a 47-yard touchdown run on the third play from scrimmage. A safety followed on a John Marshall punt when the long snap sailed too high. Senior Trey Haddad, a Texas A&M recruit, returned the ensuing free kick 63 yards for a touchdown.
