SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — The Town of Speedway is gearing up for a milestone event as it prepares to celebrate its centennial with the “Cheers to 100 Years” festival, set for Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, from 5 to 11 p.m. on Main Street.
Organized by the Speedway Centennial Celebration Committee, the event aims to honor the community’s rich history while launching a new tradition for future generations.
Chris Meador, Speedway Centennial Planning Lead, says, “Cheers to 100 Years is more than a celebration; it’s a chance for our community to come together and recognize the people and partnerships that have shaped Speedway over the last century.”
Plans for the evening include entertainment for all ages: games from 5 to 7 p.m., carousel rides until 10:50 p.m., and a live band from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Attendees can also enjoy performances by a yo-yo master, Fancy Pants Entertainment, a magician, and a variety of food trucks.
The celebration will conclude with a fireworks display scheduled from 10:30 to 10:45 p.m., capping off an evening dedicated to Speedway’s past, present and future.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars and invite family and friends to join the festivities. For VIP table reservations or to purchase commemorative Centennial Coins, visit Speedway CDC’s Square Store at https://speedway-cdc.square.site/.
The event will be held on Main Street in Speedway.
