INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A woman driving so fast she went airborne crashed into another vehicle, resulting in the death of another driver.
The crash happened just after 2 a.m. just north of the intersection of North Sherman Drive and East Washington Street.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says camera footage showed the Camaro driven by the woman speeding north on Sherman Drive.
At one point, she was going so fast that she briefly went airborne. After her vehicle landed, IMPD says she lost control, and crashed into another vehicle going southbound.
The male driver of the other vehicle died at the scene. The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
IMPD has not said if charges will be filed.
