Some spotty rain chances into the weekend

We’ll stay mostly cloudy Thursday with an afternoon high of 78 in central Iowa. There will be a chance for some light showers, but they will stay mostly to the west of I-35. The best chance for rain will come late Friday night into Saturday morning when scattered showers and isolated storms move deeper into the state. Accumulations will remain light for the areas that see rain. The afternoon will be more isolated compared to the morning with drier conditions for the rest of the weekend. We are still tracking a weak cold front passing Sunday which could spark some additional isolated showers, but most of us will stay dry.
