Sofar Sounds Charleston will host “Southern Charm Sessions” on Oct. 1, bringing its signature intimate live music experience to another unexpected Charleston setting.

The one-night event will feature three emerging artists performing in Sofar’s signature listening-room format, where audiences gather close to the performers for an evening centered around live music, discovery and community.

Known for reimagining how people experience live music, Sofar Sounds was founded in response to the scale and noise of traditional concerts. Instead of crowded venues and background chatter, Sofar creates intentional environments where artists and audiences can connect in a more meaningful, personal way.

Now operating in hundreds of cities worldwide, Sofar Sounds hosts shows in unexpected spaces such as living rooms, rooftops, galleries and neighborhood venues. Southern Charm Sessions brings that format to Charleston with a distinctly local twist, pairing live performances with local food, drinks and community partnerships.

Guests will be able to grab dinner from Shaka Shrimp food truck, while William Wolf will be serving a Pecan Old Fashioned featured for the evening. Sofar Charleston is also partnering with Playdate Charleston, bringing together two communities focused on creating new connections and experiences in the city.

Limited tickets are currently available for the October 1 show through Sofar Sounds.

As with all Sofar events, the exact venue will remain a secret until approximately 36 hours before the show. Guests are encouraged to put phones away, pause conversations, and fully engage with the performances, creating a shared experience that feels both intimate and memorable.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with music beginning at 8 p.m. Attendance is limited to preserve the atmosphere that defines Sofar shows. The artist lineup will be shared with confirmed ticket holders shortly before the event.
