SKOWHEGAN — Skowhegan Savings is pleased to announce the promotion of Maggie Leone to assistant vice president and commercial lender.
Previously serving as the bank’s small business portfolio relationship manager on the commercial lending team, Leone will continue to support Skowhegan Savings’ business customers with their commercial lending needs throughout Franklin County in her new role based out of the bank’s Farmington branch.
“With more than 12 years of banking experience, Maggie has consistently demonstrated a passion for helping her customers achieve their financial goals,” said Steve Thomas, senior vice president and senior commercial lender. “Her promotion will further strengthen our commercial team’s commitment to delivering outstanding, personalized service and hands-on support to local businesses.”
“In my new role, I am eager to continue building long-term relationships with our current business customers and look forward to developing new ones that help our local businesses grow,” Leone said.
Leone joined Skowhegan Savings in 2019 as a commercial loan processor before being promoted to the bank’s commercial lending team as a small business relationship manager. She began her banking career as a head teller, customer service representative and loan processor at a community bank. Leone later stepped away from banking to work at a local insurance agency in Farmington, where she served as a personal lines manager for nine years before returning to the industry and joining the bank.
Leone attended a state university in Massachusetts, where she studied advanced mathematics and theoretics. She currently resides in Farmington with her family.
