UPDATE 11:15 p.m. — The tornado warnings east of Harvey have both expired.
UPDATE 11:10 p.m. — There is no longer an observed tornado northeast of Fessenden.
UPDATE 11:05 p.m. — The NWS has confirmed 74 mph sustained winds in Robinson, and 99 mph wind gusts.
UPDATE 11:00 p.m. — A tornado has been observed northeast of Fessenden, moving north at 25 mph. Get to a basement or interior room of your home.
UPDATE 10:50 p.m. — A tornado warning is in effect in Wells County east of Harvey. There is no tornado, but a warning is in effect until 11 p.m.
UPDATE 10:45 p.m. — A tornado warning is in effect just south of Harvey. There is no tornado, but a warning is in effect.
UPDATE 10:32 p.m. — There is no tornado on the ground anymore between Medina and Jamestown. The warning is still in effect.
UPDATE 10:30 p.m. — The tornado warning near Goodrich and McClusky has been extended until 10:45 p.m.
UPDATE 10:10 p.m. — A tornado has been confirmed nine miles west of Streeter. This tornado warning includes Medina, Cleveland, and Tappen until 10:45 p.m. Seek immediate shelter in your basement or interior room of your home. Another tornado warning is in effect near Goodrich and McClusky, but there is no tornado there at the moment.
UPDATE 10:00 p.m. — The tornado warning in Burleigh and Sheridan is in effect until 10:30 p.m.
UPDATE 9:55 p.m. — A tornado warning is in effect in northeast LaMoure County until 10:15 p.m.
UPDATE 9:50 p.m. — 101 mph winds have been reported in Emmons northwest of Linton.
UPDATE 9:45 p.m. — A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued north of the tornado warning in Burleigh/Sheridan, including 70 mph winds and quarter-sized hail. It is set to be in effect until 10:45 p.m.
UPDATE 9:40 p.m. — A tornado warning has been issued for parts of Burleigh and Sheridan Counties to be in effect until 10 p.m. Seek immediate shelter in interior parts of your home.
UPDATE 9:35 p.m. — 82 mph winds have been reported in the Bismarck/Mandan area.
UPDATE 9:30 p.m. — The tornado warning in the Wilton area is no longer in effect.
UPDATE 9:20 p.m. — The tornado warning has expired in Almont and west of Bismarck, but there are still 70-90 mph winds. The tornado warning in the Wilton area is still in effect.
UPDATE: 9:00 p.m. — A severe thunderstorm warning with 70-80 mph wind gusts has been issued for the Bismarck/Mandan area. Get into a closet, hallway, bathroom, or bathtub, and bring a blanket to put over your head as you get into an interior part of your home.
UPDATE: 8:55 p.m. — 90 mph winds have been observed in the Flasher, Saint Anthony, Solen, and Cannon Ball area. If you’re in those locations, seek immediate shelter. A tornado warning has also been issued for Wilton and areas west of it, and is in effect until 9:30 p.m. CT. If you’re in Wilton or west of it, or northeast of New Salem, seek immediate shelter. There is no confirmed tornado at this point.
UPDATE: 8:40 p.m. — A tornado warning has been issued in Almont and areas east of the city. If you are in that area, seek immediate shelter. The warning is in effect for Grant and Morton Counties until 9:15 p.m. CT.
BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A tornado watch has just been issued for the Bismarck-Mandan area.
This means all the ingredients for a possible tornado are there. If one forms and touches down, the watch will turn into a warning, and you will have to seek immediate shelter, either in your basement or a room deep inside your house that doesn’t have any windows, like a closet or bathroom.
