Second driver in viral road rage video appears before judge

A judge ordered Robert Hagen held in jail before trial in the viral August road rage case after police said he crashed and then drove off.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A judge ordered Robert Hagen held in jail before trial in the viral August road rage case after police said he crashed and then drove off.

Robert Hagen appeared before a judge Saturday morning in the case tied to a viral road rage clip from August.

Police said Hagen drove a truck that crashed and sped off after another driver reportedly smashed his back window.

The state asked the court to keep Hagen in jail until trial, and the judge agreed.

Hagen faces charges of aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and leaving the scene of a crash.

Two days after the viral clip appeared online, police arrested Jenipher Lewis. Police said Lewis reportedly smashed the back of Hagen’s car.

She faces charges of aggravated assault and child abuse because her kids were in the back seat.
