‘Sea of pink’ in Providence for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The American Cancer Society said that 5,000 members of the Greater Providence community took part in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Providence on Sunday.

Participants included breast cancer survivors and caregivers all wearing pink to remember those who lost their battle with the disease.

The event also had a goal to raise $400,000 for research, patient support, and advocacy.
