Sandfort, Hoiberg lead No. 7 Huskers past Washington to remain undefeated

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The No. 7-ranked Nebraska basketball team rolled past Washington on Wednesday night, beating the Huskies 76-66 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

As a team, the Huskers shot 51% from the floor and 38% from beyond the 3-point line, while the Huskies shot 44% from the floor and 29% from deep.

Pryce Sandfort led the Huskers with 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting, while collecting two rebounds and one assist.

Sam Hoiberg put up 14 points and grabbed a team-high seven boards and four assists, while Rienk Mast tallied 12 points. Jamarques Lawrence also scored 11 points.

Redshirt freshman standout Braden Frager left the game in the first half with an ankle injury. He was seen on the bench in the second half with a boot on his left foot.

After the game, head coach Fred Hoiberg told the Big Ten Network they would re-evaluate him in the morning.

The Huskers will hit the road this weekend to take on Minnesota. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. on FS1.
