San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee detained, then released at Los Angeles International Airport, sources say

LOS ANGELES (KGO) — San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee has been released after being detained at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday evening, sources tell ABC7 News.

Lee was arriving from his native South Korea ahead of Giants’ Fan Fest, happening in San Ramon on Saturday.

His agent is reporting that the detainment was due to a paperwork issue, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The Chronicle’s report also said that Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s office was working with the Giants Organization to resolve the issue.
