Ruelas scores twice as Purples blank Daviess 3-0

Bowling Green senior Barzilai Ruelas scored two goals to pace the visiting Purples to a 3-0 boys’ soccer win against Daviess County on Tuesday.
Wasoo Shindano also scored a goal and Joram Valle tallied an assist in the win.
Goalkeeper Mason Malone totaled three saves to record the shutout for Bowling Green (7-1), which visits District 14 rival Warren Central on Thursday.
FCA 4, Russell County 0
Nate Barbee scored two goals and tallied an assist to lead homestanding Foundation Christian Academy to a 4-0 win against Russell County on Tuesday.
John Lennox Wesley and Logan Nix each added a goal for the Falcons.
Goalkeeper Ethan Rubel tallied four saves to earn the shutout for FCA (6-4), which travels to play Ohio County on Thursday.
Franklin-Simpson 4, Russellville 1
Oscar Lopez scored a pair of goals and notched an assist to spark visiting Franklin-Simpson to a 4-1 win against District 13 foe Russellville on Tuesday.
Will Speed and Silas Hockman each added a goal for the Wildcats, with Johan Mejia Garcia providing two assists and Andy Garcia adding one assist.
Goalkeeper Keeton Marlin finished with five saves for Franklin-Simpson (9-3-1 overall, 4-0 District 13), which hosts Butler County on Thursday.
Russellville (2-7, 1-4) is on the road to face Hopkinsville on Thursday.
Glasgow 10, ACS 2
Jared Malagon tallied a hat trick with three goals and totaled four assists to lead homestanding Glasgow to a 10-2 win against District 15 rival Allen County-Scottsville on Tuesday.
Ronaldo Puldon added two goals and an assist for the Scotties. Isaiah Ramos also scored two goals, Johan Bonilla Milla scored a goal and provided two assists, Siddha Patel and Miguel Camarena each scored a goal, and Kasan Peters and Cayden Webb each finished with an assist.
Goalkeeper Keaton Smith tallied seven saves for Glasgow (5-6-2, 3-1), which is on the road to face LaRue County on Thursday.
ACS (1-7, 0-3) is on the road to play District 15 rival Barren County on Thursday.

Greenwood 1, Gallatin 1
Kennedy McIvor scored an unassisted goal to help homestanding Greenwood earn a 1-1 draw against Gallatin (Tennessee) on Tuesday.
Goalkeepers Laney Lockhart (six saves) and Kensley Bryant (four saves) combined for 10 saves for Greenwood (6-6-1), which is at Owensboro Catholic on Thursday.

Shelby Byrd scored two goals to boost visiting Barren County over District 15 opponent Allen County-Scottsville for a 2-0 win Tuesday.
Susie Slinker notched an assist for the Trojanettes.
Goalkeeper Hannah Wilson made seven saves to earn the shutout for Barren County (4-4-1, 2-1), which is at district rival Warren East on Thursday.
Lady Patriots goalkeeper Autumn Keith finished with 18 saves. ACS (4-6, 0-4) is at Butler County on Thursday.
Franklin-Simpson 8, Russellville 0
Addy McKinney and Kaylee Barrow each produced a hat trick as visiting Franklin-Simpson rolled to an 8-0 win against District 13 foe25- Russellville on Tuesday.
McKinney totaled three goals and three assists, while Barrow notched three goals and an assist. Kami Steward scored two goals and Bianca Morales chipped in with an assist.
Goalkeeper Cecilia Huggins made two saves to pick up the shutout for Franklin-Simpson (11-1, 4-0), which hosts Christian County on Thursday.
Russellville (1-8, 0-4) is back in action Sept. 16 at home against district foe Logan County.
Russell County 2, Warren East 1
Host Russell County claimed a 2-1 win against Warren East on Tuesday.
Zoe Witherspoon scored a goal off an assist from Rebecca Garms for the Lady Raiders in the loss.
Goalkeeper Kynleigh Barrick totaled 10 saves for Warren East (3-6), which is home to face District 15 rival Barren County on Thursday.
Girls’ volleyball
ACS 3, Glasgow 1
Homestanding Allen County-Scottsville battled past District 15 rival Glasgow for a 3-1 (25-14, 25-8, 22-25, 25-20) win on Tuesday.
Kaitlyn Duncan led the Lady Patriots with 15 kills, two blocks, six digs and eight aces. Georgie Tabor had five kills, two blocks, 21 assists, eight digs and five aces. Nellie Saylors and Faith Schaberg added four kills apiece, Addison Ramsey had 12 digs, and Claire Clay tallied 10 digs and four aces.
ACS (10-8, 2-1) is at Butler County on Thursday.
Glasgow (5-10, 0-3) hosts Caverna on Thursday.
