River Park, a senior living facility in Little River, offers a wide variety of options for independent senior living on its 20-acre campus.
There are 12 duplex homes (24 residences) and a four-story building with five different floor plans of apartments.
River Park has been in business for seven years.
“Everything is going very well,” said River Park Marketing Director Javona Stanley. “We’re filling up our community. We still do have some vacancies left for independent living.”
River Park also has assisted living and memory care in a separate building.
One of the main attractions is the resort-style all-inclusive concept. Residents get home maintenance, all basic utilities, two meals per day, weekly housekeeping, scheduled transportation, a full activities schedule and access to all community amenities. There is a parking garage for residents of the duplexes.
The amenities are wide-ranging. They include restaurant-style dining, a café/bistro, a fitness center with senior-friendly equipment, a multi-purpose community room for movies, shows and other events, a beauty salon and spa, resident storage lockers as well as bocce courts and an outdoor fireplace and hearth.
Other activities are brought in from the outside. A surprise 109th birthday party and parade were held for a resident in assisted living. Several hall of fame shag dancers did a demonstration for the residents.
Duplex units are two bedrooms, two baths and are 1,390 square feet.
The largest unit is the two-bedroom premier known as the Willow. It is 1,425 square feet and has a roomy master bedroom suite that includes a walk-in closet. The Laurel is a 1,290-square foot apartment that features an ultra-private master bedroom suite, a separate laundry room and an open great room.
Other floor plans include the 1,180-square foot two-bedroom, two-bath Dogwood, the 800-square foot one-bedroom, one-bath Palmetto and the 580-square foot studio Magnolia.
