Revised $2M budget up for vote in Weathersfield

WEATHERSFIELD – For a third time since the March Town Meeting, voters will cast ballots Tuesday on a proposed general fund budget.

The budget of a little more than $2 million respresents a $27,000 decrease in the $2.05 million general fund budget that was defeated in March. Residents can discuss the spending plan at an informational meeting on Monday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Martin Memorial Hall.

The budget is the same one rejected by voters on May 19th but the amount to be raised by taxes has been cut to $1.58 million which is 4.4% less than the figure in the budget that was defeated in March.

Voting on Tuesday is from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Martin Memorial Hall
