The 20th annual event is this Saturday and Sunday. Here’s what to know.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The 20th annual Day of the Tread road cycling event is coming up this Saturday and Sunday in Albuquerque to honor Dia de los Muertos.

The event benefits area nonprofits. Saturday will feature a “Gravel Grinder” where cyclists will ride from Sawmill Market, to the bosque, to the foothills. Distances vary from seven miles to 70 miles on all types of surfaces.

Then, Sunday, is the road ride all around Albuquerque. The shortest ride is six miles and the longest is 100 miles. They also have a 5K walk.

They’re also hosting a costume contest where you can vote on the best costume both days with prizes. Just be sure to be safe with your costume.

After everything is done, you can join everyone for the TreadFest after-party with a bike valet and live music. Learn more about Day of the Tread on their website and in the video above.
