PRESTON — A Preston man has died from injuries he sustained last week when a pickup truck struck his mobility scooter in a crosswalk.
Franklin County Coroner Ron Smillie identified the man as 67-year-old Terry Wayne Traynor of Preston.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, on South State Street just north of West 1st Street in Preston.

According to the Idaho State Police, a 62-year-old man from Nibley, Utah, was driving a 2003 pickup truck southbound when he struck Traynor, who was navigating the crosswalk on a mobility scooter.
Emergency responders transported Traynor by ground ambulance to a local hospital, where he died on Tuesday, March 3, from his injuries.
Smillie described Traynor as a well-liked member of the community who had some mobility challenges.
“This was just a tragic accident,” Smillie said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
