Ethan Inocencio scored 20 points to help the Desert League’s third-seeded Panthers (18-7) edge the Sky League’s top-seeded Falcons (15-13) in the 4A Southern Region basketball quarterfinals Wednesday at Foothill.
Tavien Phoenix added 10 and 15 rebounds for Palo Verde, which plays Clark at Foothill at 4:40 p.m. Friday.
No. 1D Clark 66, No. 2M Shadow Ridge 45: At Shadow Ridge, CJ Edwards’ five third-quarter 3-pointers helped put the game out of reach as the Chargers (18-5) beat the Mustangs (20-8).
No. 1M Legacy 94, No. 2D Durango 64: At Legacy, Zayden Jeffries scored 34 points as the Longhorns (22-7) broke it open in the second half and rolled to a win over the Trailblazers (19-7). Lennox Grayson added 14 points for Legacy, and teammates Grayson Williams and Micah Cazar each had 13. The Longhorns play Las Vegas at Foothill at 8 p.m. Friday.
No. 1L Las Vegas 57, No. 3M Sky Pointe 55: At Las Vegas, Hunter Iverson made two free throws with 1 second remaining and finished with 19 points as the Wildcats (22-5) edged the Eagles (11-15). Amari Hinds had 18 points for Las Vegas.

5A state quarterfinals
No. 1 Bishop Gorman 81, No. 8 Legacy 12: At Bishop Gorman, Addysen Carr scored 19 points, helping the Gaels (21-3) cruise past the Longhorns (8-19). Gorman plays Coronado in the semifinals at Valley Feb 18 at a time to be determined.
No. 4 Coronado 58, No. 5 Liberty 52: At Coronado, Scarlet Lopez compiled 15 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals, and the Cougars (10-15) pulled away in the third quarter on their way to a victory over the Patriots (16-12). Shayne Lopez added 12 points and two rebounds for Coronado.
No. 3 Shadow Ridge 58, No. 6 Faith Lutheran 34: At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs (12-8) took control in the second quarter of their victory over the Crusaders (9-16). Shadow Ridge faces Democracy Prep at Valley High School Feb. 18 at a time to be determined.
4A Southern Region quarterfinals
No. 1D Mojave 70, No. 2M Desert Oasis 60: At Mojave, the Rattlers (22-5) held off a fourth-quarter rally by the Diamondbacks (13-7) to claim the victory. Mojave plays Mater East in the semifinals at Foothill at 3 p.m. Friday.
No. 2L Mater East 62, No. 1S Foothill 56: At Foothill, the Knights (19-5) outlasted the Falcons (16-10) to advance.
No. 1M Sierra Vista 72, No. 3L Las Vegas 48: At Sierra Vista, Donnayja Gibson finished with 24 points in the Mountain Lions’ victory over the Wildcats (14-14). Sierra Vista faces Losee at Foothill at 6:20 p.m. Friday.
No. 1L Losee 70, No. 2S Del Sol 34: At Del Sol, Jordynn Riggins scored 17 points to lead the Lions (23-5) past the Wildcats (26-5). Heaven Thomas had 12 points to help Losee.
3A state quarterfinals
No. 4 Pahrump Valley 43, No. 5 Moapa Valley 24: At Pahrump, Riley Saldana finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds as the Trojans (14-11) defeated the Pirates (13-11). Addi Nelsen added 12 points and six steals for Pahrump Valley, which will be the visiting team against Virgin Valley in the semifinals at Pahrump at 6:20 p.m. Friday.
No. 3 Boulder City 55, No. 6 The Meadows 22: At Boulder City, Kendall Shamo scored 16 points in the Eagles’ victory over The Meadows (3-14). Boulder City (15-3) plays Coral Academy at 3 p.m. Friday at Pahrump.
