The New York Jets have one of the most interesting young cores in the NFL preseason to keep an eye on. They have three first-round draft picks and a second-round pick all suiting up in the preseason on Friday night.
Breaking down the New York Jets’ young preseason roster
This is one of the deeper preseason squads this season and could make plenty of noise, giving us a glimpse of what this team’s future might look like. Out of the backfield, we know what Breece Hall is capable of, so he likely won’t see too deep a run, however, the Jets could use this as an opportunity for Braelon Allen to make his case.
At receiver, Garrett Wilson remains the sole WR1. However, they did invest first-round picks into Omar Cooper from Indiana and tight end Kenyon Sadiq out of Oregon. Cooper led Indiana in receiving last season on their way to a National Championship, while Sadiq was widely regarded as the best tight end in the nation.
Now for arguably the most interesting topic, the QB position. Geno Smith has had really high moments in his career, and extremely low points. Smith goes into the season as QB1, however, they drafted Cade Klubnik in the fourth round out of Clemson.
For those who don’t know, Klubnik was a projected top-10 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft before opting to remain at Clemson. In that 2024 collegiate season, he threw for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns with 463 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.
Defensively, while we won’t see much of the five new free-agent signings the Jets made on that side of the ball, we will see second overall pick linebacker David Bailey and former Indiana cornerback D’Angelo Ponds. Bailey recorded 14.5 sacks last season at Texas Tech while Ponds was an anchor in the secondary for Indiana en route to a National Championship.

To know the profit value, take into consideration that all winning event contracts settle at $,1 and your profit is the difference between the trading price and $1. That said, trading on the Jets at 71% profits $0.29 per share, while the Buccaneers at 30% profits $0.70 per share.
How to trade on the New York Jets vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Polymarket US
As you can see, Polymarket US offers gamelines the exact same way as sportsbooks do, the only difference is that the value of those lines is shown in percentages and trading prices, not odds. The team with the higher percentage, in this case the Jets, is the favorite. That thought process goes for the rest of the line.
You’ll be able to choose from moneyline prices, spread margins, and point totals. Trading on the moneyline is choosing which team you think is winning outright. On the spread, if you trade on the Jets to cover -5.5, they would need to win by more than 5.5 points. On the other side, for Buccaneers +5.5, they’d need to either win outright or lose within 5.5 points.
