A Loudon woman is facing a string of charges after police said she used drugs and drove with an infant in her car.
Responding to a call around 8 p.m. reporting a car in a Fort Eddy Road parking lot with an unconscious female and baby inside, Concord Police said they found and interacted with Kelsey McCarthy, 35.
Police said they could see drug paraphernalia and grew wary McCarthy was under the influence. She was physically removed from the vehicle and assaulted the arresting officers, police said.
Charges included felony drug possession as well as child endangerment, aggravated DWI and several others tied to the struggle with officers. She was released on personal recognizance bail at a Tuesday arrangement and is scheduled to appear in court in April.
The infant was placed in the care of a relative. McCarthy has faced previous charges related to drug use and assault.
