Police have located a potential witness to the homicide of a mother near a Concord tent site last week, according to the attorney general’s office.
On Friday, Jillian Collins, 37, was found dead in a wooded area off Manchester Street, near the Soucook River and the New Hampshire Liquor Outlet close to the Pembroke town line.
Police conducted a ground and aerial search in Merrimack earlier today as part of their investigation into Collins’s death.
At present, the individual, identified only as a “potential witness,” is with police. No arrests have been made and the public is not at risk, according to the attorney general’s office.
Collins lived in Barnstead with her husband, Kevin Collins, and their two children, though she had been spending more time around homeless encampments in recent months.
According to Kevin, she was last home on Oct 27.
The investigation by the Concord Police Department and the Attorney General’s Office is ongoing.
