KENT COUNTY, MI – Kentwood police arrested a 19-year-old man who allegedly fired a gunshot at a 17-year-old girl during an altercation on Wednesday, June 18.
She was not injured.
The incident happened around 8 a.m. in the 200 block of 48th Street SE, near Jefferson Avenue.
Police, who responded to a potential shooting, determined that the man fired a single shot then fled the scene. Several hours later, he contacted detectives and met with them, police said.
He is held in the Kent County Correctional Facility on charges related to the shot fired.
