A small aircraft made an emergency landing at Jefferson City Memorial Airport late Friday morning after reporting a possible landing gear malfunction.
🚨 Emergency Response
At 11:06 a.m., the Jefferson City Fire Department — based in Missouri’s capital — responded to the call. One engine company, an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) truck, and multiple EMS units from Cole and Callaway counties were dispatched. In total, 16 emergency personnel were on scene.
🛬 Safe Landing
The aircraft, carrying three people, landed with only partially deployed landing gear, causing it to slide along the runway. All three occupants exited safely and were uninjured.
🔒 Scene Secured
Firefighters and airport staff quickly secured the area. Emergency crews cleared the scene by 11:59 a.m. The incident remains under review by airport operations.
