INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Wednesday’s storms left over 100,000 people in the dark statewide. Since then, power has been restored for most Hoosiers — except those in central Indiana.
Almost 13,000 outages are still being reported in Marion County, and they’re all AES Indiana customers. The company’s latest update came Thursday night, saying crews were fully staffed and would continue restoring power. There are still 1,194 incidents needing repair.
Duke Energy still has over 4,000 outages — most of which are in Bartholomew and Vigo counties. The latest update from Duke came Thursday evening, noting that the “vast majority” of remaining outages would be fixed by late Friday night.
Current power outages
At 6 a.m. Friday, there were over 13,000 AES Indiana customers without electricity. AES Indiana said Thursday morning they expected the restoration to be a multi-day effort. Call 317-261-8111 to report a downed power line.

At 6 a.m. Friday, more than 4,000 Duke Energy customers were without power. Duke Energy said Thursday evening they have a workforce of about 1,000 in the field. Call 800-769-3766 to report a power outage.
