Pinal County Sheriff’s officials say a woman was killed and three others are seriously hurt in a crash Friday evening.

It happened on Hunt Highway between AZ Farms and Magma Road.

PCSO identified the woman as 23-year-old Krysten Sovereign. Two people were in stable condition, while one other person remains in critical condition as of Saturday.

Officials say 58-year-old Dave Gilbert Loescher was taken into custody.

PCSO says he fled the scene on Friday in a 2024 dark blue Nissan Titan.

Officials say that following the crash, investigators used license plate reader cameras, which helped verify the suspected vehicle and was later located within the local area.

Detectives were able to narrow their search and safely pinpoint both the suspect and the vehicle, PCSO said.

The man was booked into jail and faces multiple charges for leaving the scene of a fatal collision.

The investigation remains ongoing.
