A woman was killed and a man was injured after someone fired into a group of people in Auburn Gresham late Saturday, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 8000 block of South Morgan Street, according to police. A 25-year-old woman was shot several times and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. A 36-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and leg, and taken in fair condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center.
No one else from the group was injured, and the shooter fled in a silver sedan, authorities said. No arrests have been made, according to police.
