LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Gage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash near Beatrice.

Just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies were sent to West Scott Road, just west of Southwest 61st Road.

When deputies arrived, they found a single-vehicle rollover crash, with four people in the car.

The driver — 19-year-old Joseph Korber from Bern, Kansas — was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger told deputies that Korber was driving at least 100 mph when he lost control of the vehicle.

According to investigators, the vehicle rolled numerous times before coming to a stop.

One passenger was taken to Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln with life-threatening injuries.

The other two passengers were taken to the Beatrice Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol is also believed to be a factor in the crash, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office said seatbelts were being used.
