COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) — One person is dead after a crash between a truck and a passenger car in Bartholomew County.
Deputies responded to the intersection of State Road 46 and North 675 West at a little after 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. According to a press release from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the car had gone down an embankment after the collision, and deputies found the driver of the car dead. The office has yet to release any other information about the victim.
The driver of the truck, an 18-year-old male from Columbus complained of pain in his hands and consented to a blood draw. He is cooperating with the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
The office said the crash remains under investigation.
