ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A single-engine Cessna 400 crashed at Los Altos golf course, resulting in one death and another person in critical condition.
New Mexico State Police responded to the crash around 11:44 a.m. The aircraft was attempting an emergency landing when it went down.
Both occupants were taken to a local hospital. One has been confirmed deceased, while the other remains in critical condition.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and is on the way to assist with the investigation.
Records show the plane was coming from Wichita Kansas, making a fuel stop in Albuquerque, and headed to Scottsdale Arizona.
The incident is still under investigation.
