OKC Parks celebrating 50th anniversary of Will Rogers Senior Center

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – OKC Parks is marking the 50th anniversary of the Will Rogers Senior Center with a celebration on November 4.

According to OKC Parks, the Will Rogers Senior Center was Oklahoma City’s first senior center.

“This golden anniversary is not just a celebration of our longevity but a tribute to the people who made it possible,” OKC Parks Director Melinda McMillan-Miller said.

The celebration is scheduled for Nov. 4 in honor of Will Roger’s birthday. It will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center located at 3501 Pat Murphy Dr.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests can look forward to music, activities and refreshments.

“We are so grateful to all the loyal seniors, our dedicated employees and the supportive community. We look forward to the next 50 years!” McMillan-Miller added.
