Ohio boys basketball state rankings 2026: Lakota West, St. Edward, Columbus Academy see stock rising

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The top teams in each division remain locked in place for this week’s cleveland.com boys basketball state rankings after plenty of consequential games in the last week.

Lakota West all but sealed its standing as the No. 1 team in Division I, following its 58-53 win against Cincinnati Princeton in their anticipated matchup. The top six teams remain in place, as St. Edward beat both rival St. Ignatius and defending OHSAA Division V state champion Lutheran East since last week. The Eagles have won nine straight games, as their stock continues to rise.

Brunswick moved up a spot, as it has its sights set on another Greater Cleveland Conference championship and a high seed in the Northeast District tournament. Postseason seeding is Sunday for Divisions III through VII, while Divisions I and II will have their seeding the following weekend.

Despite the Eagles’ 62-58 win Tuesday vs. Lutheran East, the Falcons remain atop Division V. Behind them, Columbus Academy jumped Columbus Bishop Ready after a 66-49 victory last week that allowed the Vikings to split their regular-season series. Lutheran East beat Columbus Academy, led by Harvard recruit Jason Singleton, in last year’s state finals.

See how the state stands with the top 10 teams in each of Ohio’s seven divisions for boys basketball. Results and records are based on what has been reported through Tuesday’s games to MaxPreps, which is providing the official RPI ratings for OHSAA postseason seeding.
