Yeti is bringing its rugged, take-it-anywhere energy to something that actually goes everywhere with you: your phone. The brand’s new LoadOut Phone Case is designed to shrug off drops, grip your hand in cold weather and keep your iPhone protected when your plans take you far beyond the couch. It was released on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Priced at $70, the case packs three layers of protection into a surprisingly lightweight design. Its TripleShot Protection system adds extra cushioning in key impact zones and meets MIL-STD-810H drop protection standards. Raised rubber bezels help shield the edges, while a non-slip grip gives you a better hold when you’re dealing with cold, wet or otherwise less-than-ideal conditions.
Shoppers can choose from Dusk, Charcoal, Navy and Celestial Blue, with one reviewer already calling it the “best case” and praising its “beautiful colour.” The LoadOut also comes with a five-year warranty, and Yeti account holders get free shipping.
For now, the case is available only for Apple devices, including the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro series and Pro Max models. Android shoppers have already asked Yeti about compatibility, and the company says it is “currently exploring iterations” for other phone brands and models.

And because this is Yeti, the case is doing considerably more than just sitting around your phone. A rotational MagSafe-compatible kickstand lets you prop up your screen for hands-free viewing, while integrated tie-down slots give you the option to add a wrist tether or lanyard. The case weighs just 0.15 pounds and measures 3.1 inches wide by 6.3 inches high.

The Yeti LoadOut also gets some thoughtful upgrades that make it more than a bulky layer of protection. Its ultra-responsive buttons are designed to work in cold conditions, while a specialized camera control button lets you launch the camera, adjust settings and swipe your finger to change zoom levels.

It supports wireless charging and tap-to-pay, although Yeti recommends tilting the top of the phone toward payment terminals to help the NFC chip connect. A lanyard is not included, but the case is designed to accommodate one.
