The City of Conway is trying something new to get children “on the go” this summer.
A new mobile program will roll into various Conway locations this June as the City of Conway Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department has rolled out plans for its “Rec On The Go” program. The four-week schedule will take place on four dates in June, bringing fun and activity into the community.
The mobile program will bring games, activities, sports, and hands-on fun into the community in hopes of “removing barriers and make recreation more accessible”, the department said.
“This is about getting out into our neighborhoods and making sure every child has access to recreation,” said Ashley Smith, Director of Conway Parks and Recreation. “We’re bringing the energy, the equipment, and the staff. Kids just need to show up and have fun.”
Every program will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
