(Albuquerque, NM) – As cost pressures continue to rise, PNM’s Good Neighbor Fund is available to help those in need. Last year, PNM increased the amount eligible customers could receive through the PNM Good Neighbor Fund to $175 and provided more than $800,000 in bill help to New Mexicans.
This month, PNM will be joining Goodwill’s community career fair to provide on-site bill help. Assistance will be available Thursday, Feb. 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Goodwill Opportunity Center located at 5000 San Mateo Blvd. NE. Low-income customers with a past-due bill or disconnect notice on their PNM bill, as well as seniors (60+) who qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), can attend and receive help with a portion of their PNM electric bill.
Customers should bring their past-due PNM bill or disconnect notice, proof of participation in LIHEAP or SNAP for the current year, and a valid ID matching the name on the PNM account. Seniors are eligible even without a past-due balance or disconnect notice, if they meet income qualifications.

PNM also partners with the Rio Grande Food Project to administer the PNM Good Neighbor Fund and ensure help is available to those most in need. Rio Grande Food Project welcomes walk-ins Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 600 Coors Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.
