TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III said that the New Bedford man who was the suspect of a December 2023 home invasion shooting pled guilty and was sentenced on Jan. 7.

24-year-old Joshua Deleon was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed assault with intent to murder, and home invasion, among several other charges.

On Dec. 22, 2023 Deleon shot a man at his home on Worcester Street in New Bedford.

He then entered a home on Newcomb Place with two firearms, shot a man in the knee, and then engaged in a “physical struggle,” before being stopped by officers.
